He was a pretty regular donor to the Republican Party back in the day. At one point he had a photo of Dubya on his desk. But after the disastrous Iraq war (having been a WWII vet himself) he got rid of that picture! I am quite sure that he would have been beyond disgusted by #45.

Not anymore. Esp. not my mom. I'd like to think I played some part in that over the years

They were pretty much only concerned with lower taxes though, which they thought the GOP would give them. They were never super-'conservative', again esp. not my mom.

What's kinda funny though is my stepdad was more 'conservative' (he's an Annapolis grad, as was his father), but I've known he was an atheist since I was a child. My mom's more agnostic, then and now.
