My thanks to Senator Joe Manchin, West Virginia, who voted to convict,

even though he represents a state, West Virginia, that had just voted for Trump by 69%.

That was a difficult vote politically, even though it was the only correct one factually and morally.

I also think he will get some payback down the road. Probably permission to get a contrary vote later show his state he still loves them. He really has to walk a tightrope.

His oath is to the constitution. Some congressmen/women are too worried about re-elections. Speaker Pelosi had it right when she asked what is more important than their oath.
