Ted Lieu just said one of the reasons "no witnesses called" was because subpoenas were getting stifled in the courts. My question is why all of a sudden Congress can't get subpoenas effectively served? Why the sudden impotence of the process?

News to me. But watch how the 1/6/21 Insurrection Inquiry evolves. It's all about the evidence gathering and connecting the dots.

But the witnesses can object and stall, and tie up the matter in court, sometimes for years, as happened throughout 2018 and 2019.
Subpoenaing witnesses does not mean witnesses will show up that day, or the next or even the next week or month, to testify.
