"SNIP......
Former President Donald Trump put out a very long statement attacking Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY).
Said Trump: The Republican Party can never again be respected or strong with political leaders like Sen. Mitch McConnell at its helm.
He continued: Mitch is a dour, sullen, and unsmiling political hack, and if Republican Senators are going to stay with him, they will not win again.
Trump also promised to back primary rivals of certain incumbent GOP senators.
......SNIP"
It was a long statement through his PAC and posted in twitter i did not link to. Long?..... Nobody in his base will read it.

(3,431 posts)He will certainly hold a rally where he will pull a muscle patting himself on the back. He will be generous to give a candidate a minute of mic time with him on stage. He cares for no one but himself and doesnt know how to hide it.
Ask Martha Mcsally, Kelly Leoffler and David Perdue what Trump means by backing them.

(3,921 posts)We handed them the impeachment on a platter as a method to get rid of Trump forever - and they chickened out - and now Trump and his family will be their problem to deal with for the foreseeable future.

(2,010 posts)McConnell just isn't good enough at being a toadie like Stephen Miller or Lindsey Graham. And he just didn't understand that he had to bury Trump while he had the chance. Unfortunately, I think we're just two years away from a senate where the future republican faction will make the current make-up look like responsible statesmen.
