There is a federal courthouse on State Line Avenue. The west half of the building is the Eastern District of Texas and the east half is the Western District of Arkansas.

The poorer town invested in equipment and the richer town did not. Texarkana, Arkansas is no paragon of progressive governance but they ain't stupid.

all of that equipment is being used.

Edited to add: and the price goes up rapidly. As Texas will find out when they receive their unregulated electric bills next month.

There isn't just a lot of a call for snow plows in this area. (Although my little town just NE of Texarkana has a snowplow that can be mounted on a dump truck.) I don't know where Texarkana, TX would go to rent a snow plow.

If my little town not that far from Texarkana can by a bolt-on plow, Texarkana, TX could buy enough for a fleet of trucks.
