Watched Beto O'Rouke with Chris Hayes from his home. Full power, part of the Western Grid. Very powerful and insightful show by Chris. Nails Fox, Exposes Republican energy corruption. Maybe this will be the tipping point on climate change and failure of Republican social policy for the past 40 years or so.

I survived it OK. I'm 500 feet, 200' elevation off the main road and in the woods. Got 18" and lost power. But the house is built for it and we are prepared for it. I have a log home, 2 wood stoves. A few oil lamps and power packs kept me connected. Slept on the couch to keep the stove going.

The south needs to plan for these types of events going forward. It can, and probably will, happen again.
