Someone on O'Donnell said that McConnell's final speech at the trial admitting that Trump was guilty of inciting insurrection preemptively cut the ground out from under Lindsey Graham's plans for the hearing, as well as Graham's defenses of Trump in general. Not that Graham won't still use that attack because he doesn't seem to mind appearing ridiculous, but McConnell's not on his side in this.

...for certain things that he may want to look into. AG, FBI, any intelligence service you can find letters for, I think they are all REAL tired of being thrown under the bus, disrespected and verbally abused. Not the kind of folks I would want looking at my dirty laundry if my last name was Trump. Give 'em hell!!!!

But we're forced to wait, and so it shall be. I don't know if Merrick Garland is that strong fearless Atty General but maybe/ Regardless if the Senate QOP blocks Garland, I hope Biden has a back up plan.
