He was only 34. I had been praying with my friend for the last few weeks, but it wasn't looking good. Both her daughter and son-in-law have been in the hospital with covid for a little over 3 weeks. Her daughter has been improving, but her daughter's husband was declining, his oxygen levels didn't improve and then started dropping. He was put on a vent 4 days ago, 2 days ago was max'd out on the vent... I returned from work tonight and saw my message he'd died this morning while I was at work. He leaves behind his wife, a daughter, parents, etc... I am devastated for this sweet little family. My friend's daughter is still in the hospital, but will be released tomorrow. Both my friend and her daughter were allowed to be with him when he passed, so he wasn't alone. My friend had a stroke a couple months ago and is still recovering. She thought she was doing well and thought she could walk without her walker... Sure enough, fell and fell hard, breaking her right elbow. Now this. I'm really worried about her. I called, but it went to voicemail- I'm sure they're just trying to grasp what's happened.
I would appreciate DU good vibes, prayers and any other well wishes for this little family. Thank you.

(7,715 posts)I have no idea how we have avoided getting infected, but we have. There but for the grace of some greater being than us go all of us.
My deepest sympathies. 34 is such a terribly young age.
