Does the "movement" survive without him? Lindsay Graham doesn't seem to think so.

(58,785 posts)Trump was believed to be unelectable in 2024 even before the post-Trump level of vindictive craziness developed. The big Republican nightmare is/was that their crazy primary voters could possibly give him the nomination, but then he would inevitably lose the general, taking Republican candidates down with him across the nation.

Democratic turnout can stop nearly any Republican.

(2,336 posts)tRump has no clout, he's just a criminal waiting for the law to catch up. Lara Trump? Ha, what a laugh. As if the name tRump somehow implies something? No way. That entire family is going down down down, at least that's my wish for the future.
I've been predicting the demise of the repug party since Obama's first term, and maybe we're getting closer. I hadn't calculated the gerrymandering and electoral college problem, was just thinking from a pragmatic standpoint, so that explains why I was off in my prediction. But now, tRump has accelerated things so bravo to him.
