Im more worried about 2022 than Ive ever been, the Trump sycophant told Fox News Sean Hannity.
By Lee Moran
The GOP doesnt have a snowballs chance in hell of taking back majorities without the backing of former President Donald Trump, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) argued on Tuesday.
In an interview with Fox News Sean Hannity, Trump sycophant Graham weighed in on the ex-presidents feud with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.). Graham said hed tell McConnell that I know Trump can be a handful but he is the most dominant figure in the Republican Party.
Tensions have escalated between Trump and McConnell in recent days.
McConnell voted to acquit Trump in his Senate impeachment trial for inciting the U.S. Capitol riot but then rebuked him as morally responsible for the violence.

(13,036 posts)you lose your soul in the process. this is exactly the situation with the current GOP. Graham has turned hideously corrupt and sold his soul to the dark side.

That would fracture the party even more than what it is now. If that results in the Republicans retaking the Senate, don't underestimate Lindsay looking to have his faction vote him majority leader.

(6,039 posts)Keep it up Lindsey. You are setting the GO(T)P up for 20 years being locked out of the White House like they were in the 1930-40s.
But don't worry. By 2040 the GO(N/A)P may finally find a candidate to become leader of the free world, but he will have to be moderate like Dwight D. Eisenhower. And maybe they will hire Eric, Don Jr and Ivanka too. I'm sure he/she will need bussers, chauffeurs and domestics, if they are remotely capable of performing the tasks related to those jobs.

Only problem is it can be a long way until this is somehow remedied and that could be a real crappy decade OR it can be a great decade in the dems stay in power. Imagine the joyful looks on faces to receive a working wage, have running water and electricity, maybe even a promising future?

(54,341 posts)Donald WHO? Remind me again, who was that? Given the result of the last election, I'd say it's the Trump faction that is leading their own party to hell in a basket. Not that there is any lack of genuine sickos that would follow Trump off the edge of the crater of an erupting volcano, but even McTurtle is smart enough to realize that though Trump had his period of usefulness, that time is now over and done with.
Even Francisco Franco was smart enough to declare "neutrality" in World War II, while telling his erstwhile benefactors, Hitler and Mussolini, "thanks, but now please get lost." He saw in 1942 which way the wind was blowing. He survived as dictator of his country until he died of old age. Graham seems more determined to act as the Republican equivalent of Norwegian collaborator Quisling, and could well suffer a similar (political--I can't imagine anyone wasting good ammunition on the slimy bastard) fate.
As for Graham, let's not forget what he had to say about Trump before the 2016 election. His admiration and loyalty can turn on a dime once again, just as easily as they did last time.
