GOP Gov. Greg Abbott is searching for scapegoats as millions of his constituents suffer.
As millions of Texans suffer without heat in sub-zero temperatures, the state's Republican governor took time to play politics in Sean Hannity's Fox News show, using the crisis that is endangering his own constituents to bash climate change policy.
In his appearance on Hannity's program, Republican Gov. Greg Abbot wrongly blamed the rolling blackouts in his state on more climate-friendly energy sources like wind and solar, and said policies like the Green New Deal which call for using those energy sources more than fossil fuels would be bad for the country.
Abbott said:
This shows how the Green New Deal would be a deadly deal for the United States of America. Texas is blessed with multiple sources of energy, such as natural gas and oil, and nuclear as well as solar and wind, but you saw ... and that is our wind and our solar got shut down and they were collectively more than 10% of our power grid, and that thrust Texas into a situation where it was lacking power in a statewide basis.

So Texas how's that libertarian's mantra working for you now, your state has no back-up plan ............do you miss Gov. Ann Richards?
Your homicidal gov looks to find blame an imaginary federal law that doesn't even exist, you know grasping for straws, without looking in the mirror at himself and your right dominated legislature ........... , and you have the other right wing enabling asshole, Paxton doing what exactly, running around committing crimes but trying to file lawsuits on some other states elections and abortions .......... , why these two are not in jail yet is just stunning and your right wing do nothing legislature except looking at passing a bill to leave the United States, well leave and see if anyone will help you in the next snow storm blast from the Arctic............

They were the first ones out there pointing at California and demanding that Newsom resign. There should be demands that Abbott resign.

Wow. That's just so believable. NOT. Not gonna lie, if some of these assholes say good morning you really need to verify it.

(3,063 posts)Solar & Wind only accounted for a 13% loss in energy.
The big driver was frozen gauges on coal, gas and nuke plants.
Could not operate.
