My Eleven Year Old Granddaughter Has Covid 19

They sent her home from school with a letter saying she had come into direct contact with someone that had tested positive and that she had to quarantine. When she was tested she was also positive. Her mother also tested positive and is sick now, as well as her infant brother who was nursing. This is in deep red York county, PA.

So kids aren't low enough risk of spreading it after all.

I'm so pissed.

Yes, I hold him responsible for nearly all deaths and damages. Don't forget we are going to have long term damage to many who survive Covid.

If this helps, my 10-year-old twin great nieces had it last month and recovered quickly, as did their 3-year-old sister. They caught it from their nurse-practitioner mother, who got it at work.

I'm hearing the mom is the sickest in their household. She can't smell or taste anything & is feeling pretty bad.

I'm just hoping everything turns out okay.

Are you familiar with fluvoxamine?

It is an anti-depressant that has shown tremendous results in treating Covid.

Because they didn't all get sick at the same time, she had to be off work for three weeks. I had Covid at the same time, totally unrelated to theirs. Just coincidence. I lucked out and also had a very mild case. And I'm now 10 days past the second vaccine shot. No bad reaction to either of those, so more lucking out.

But, yes, it's very scary. When I was first diagnosed, I was sure that I was going to die. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

They keep pushing that "kids" are "fine" and then insist on this thing about "little or no spread in schools", but I don't believe that for one minute. They ignore that they can be asymptomatic carriers. It wouldn't surprise me if there are schools full of youngsters who may have had it but weren't "known" to have been around someone who had it and thus it was assumed there were no "instances" of it in a school... But dollars to donuts if they are tested for antibodies, we might be surprised.

I am still exhausted at the end of the day, and am over a month out from testing positive. I was sleeping about 15/16 hours a float when symptomatic but am still sleeping 10 plus hours a day now.

I can only imagine how exhausting it must be for a nursing mother.

Young mothers amaze me with their strength.
