Lost in the news on the day of Trump's Insurrection was a devastating new watchdog report to Congress on the politicizing and distorting of intelligence during Donald Trump's time in office.
The analytic ombudsman, career intelligence community veteran Barry A. Zulauf, determined that under Trump, national intelligence reports had become highly politicized. Important findings were suppressed to appease Trump's refusal to acknowledge Russian interference in American elections,
Zulauf's unclassified report paints a frightening picture of just how much the Trump Administration skewed intelligence to suppress knowledge of interference by Russia in our 2020 elections.

And the "republicans" that voted twice to acquit this POS................must be reminded everyday what, who they are and those in the ODNI need to be brought in under oath..............

(70,476 posts).... what did Trump do? Go after the Russians? No, he fired the intel people who released the information.
In 2016 Trump was installed by Russia. End of story.

(51,582 posts)Mieller's report was incomplete and invalid in my opinion. I hope Ossoff gets a transparent investigation into ALL Russian interference and hacking as well as investigate the Crown Prince and the murder of a journalist.

(4,437 posts)in 2020. The audits were all one sided. Also, the down ballot races. Hate to say it, but all electronic voting machines are not created equal. That's why he was so surprised he lost. He thought the fix was in.

(51,582 posts)He kept saying it couldn't happen (like it was basically impossible since the fix was in, he was told). Definitely look into the 2020 election for the exact reasons you mentioned.

(8,802 posts)with their hate and bullshit, up to the day of the election, I knew that they felt the election was fixed, and that they felt they could say and do whatever they pleased. Trashing the post office was done as a little extra insurance.......

(302 posts)who know that once elected, dictators don't have much need for elections anymore?

(1,202 posts)I'm thinking that maybe the voting machine companies decided to not go along with the fixing and let the chips fall where they may. Perhaps they figured it's too big of a gamble.
DENVERPOPS
(8,802 posts)that no matter how hard they tried to destroy the mail in ballots, they didn't succeed enough, (a miracle) and the mail votes were over-whelmingly Dems.....
But I also seriously wonder about the diebold machines still in use in several states. A third grader can reprogram them on site....
At any rate, they won't make the same mistakes twice, and the Repubs are already going full bore ahead on the Gerrymandering, and dropping voters from the rolls in all minority counties across the states.
we have had the economy wrecked, the federal gov't was trashed, the covid, and now the massive freezing.
It gets more like the four horsemen of the Apocalypse every day.

I am not saying this out of hate, or the dislike I have of him, his family and his enablers, I am saying it because that must be the picture that stays in the minds of other wanna-be-dictators and corrupt politicians like Cruz, Hawley, Jordan, etc. We must make sure they become afraid of doing the wrong things.
History has to show that justice was made, that the law of the country will not tolerate any treason ever, that all traitors will be made to pay, it must serve to discourage future trumps, and maybe even help clean up the republican party of all the disgraceful people who belong to it, which includes politicians and general public registered as republicans.
Lies must also be punished, we cannot have politicians, like Abbot et al, go on TV and throw lies at people, create division. TV networks must be made accountable, those who call Kamala Harris a socialist must be called out to present their proofs, and if they can't then they must pay.
Truth must come back to our daily lives, and the liars must be made accountable and banished from public office. We also need to prohibit any person who has been in jail for fraud, illegal actions, crimes, etc. to ever run for office. I cannot believe we have people making policy when they have been in jail for fraud.
Education must become the best in the World, music, the arts, sciences, all type of sports, not only American Football and Baseball must be supported in all public schools (Golf, Tennis, Lacrosse, Yo-Yo, etc.). If none of these things get done ignorance will prevail and another crazy like trump will become president again. History repeats itself when we don't do the things we must to make sure it will not repeat, more of the same will have the same results.
