Trump vs McConnell - War of the dicks

The Trump/McConnell cage fight has begun. Trump is dumb, McConnell is sly, both are ruthless, and this will drag the Republicans into a deeper, more rancid cesspool than the one they're currently in.

Trump seems to be the favorite at the outset, but he's out of office, doesn't have Twitter and it will be interesting to see how the wingnut media reports this.

Either way, get your popcorn and champagne and settle in to watch. I really don't care which one "wins," as long as the Republican Party loses and remain in the minority in both houses of congress in 2022.

Then again, this might ultimately lead to the final destruction of the Republican Party and make room for a new, sane opposition party to emerge. It can't happen soon enough for the "big tent" party which is actually a big outhouse.

Trump wants to remain relevant and a "war" with McConnell could be a pretty big thing. He doesn't really care if he destroys what's left of the GOP, as long as he's the focus of attention.

McConnell, on the other hand, is interested only in power and will do anything to get and hold it. My guess is that he's gambling that he can make Trump irrelevant and that would be huge.

It's possible that the only winner of such a "war" would be the Dem Party.
