Conservative pundit praises Ted Cruz's Cancun getaway: 'He's not using up valuable resources of ener

Conservative pundit Dinesh D'Souza on Thursday praised Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) for vacationing in Cancun while his constituents faced a winter storm with massive power outages.

After photos of Cruz traveling to Cancun went viral on Wednesday, Fox News and other outlets confirmed the reports.

D'Souza defended Cruz in a tweet.

"What could @tedcruz do if he were here in Texas? I'm hard-pressed to say," D'Souza opined. "If he's in Cancun, that means he's not using up valuable resources of energy, food and water that can now be used by someone else. This is probably the best thing he could do for the state right now."

It’s still terrible optics for Cruz—mind-numbingly tone-deaf. That said, it’s valid to suggest that Cruz is a waste of oxygen and other valuable resources, no matter where he goes.

If only he would have put it that way in the tweet. That would have been awesome! Oh, and much more correct.

would be the best thing Cruz could do for the state.

Dinesh 'Marie Antoinette' D'Souza should beg someone to explain the concept of 'shared sacrifice' to him.

they can justify any behavior or treat it as though it never occurred.

I am only half-kidding: if the Japanese Imperial Navy and Air force bombed Pearl Harbor and you had this crew in the WH in 1941, they'd be telling you that it was a few sticks of dynamite dropped by George Soros' father's friends. And they'd get away with it.

Considering how much hot air comes out Ted's mouth whenever he speaks, he could have raised the temperature in Texas a few degrees.

His rival from the last election is running a group that’s called over 150K Texans to help them get heat, food, water, etc. I’m sure they would let Ted join.

Ted Cruz has nothing of value to offer and, in fact, just takes up valuable resources when he is present.
