(22,882 posts)Unfortunately, that won't be until 2024, so this won't be fresh in people's minds. But I can imagine some really powerful TV spots about how he ran out on his state when Texans were literally freezing to death.

But Canadian Ted CoupCanCruz is seditionist as AOC says NEEDS TO RESIGN!
Then he can spend as much time with the family as he needs and someone else can do the job he detests.
As a Texan I agree with AOC

(4,110 posts)The same applies for Ted Cruz, no wonder he and Hawley get along so well.
What lack of common sense for the MF!
Maybe they were good with books, knew how to take exams, etc...but lord are they stupid! or maybe that is the lack of principles that make people like them act the way they do.

(43,528 posts)Common sense is sound, practical judgment concerning everyday matters, or a basic ability to perceive, understand, and judge in a manner that is shared by nearly all people.
The first type of common sense, good sense, can be described as "the knack for seeing things as they are, and doing things as they ought to be done".
The second type is sometimes described as folk wisdom, "signifying unreflective knowledge not reliant on specialized training or deliberative thought."
The two types are intertwined, as the person who has common sense is in touch with common-sense ideas, which emerge from the lived experiences of those commonsensical enough to perceive them.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
