Their house was “FREEZING,” as Ms. Cruz put it — and she proposed a getaway until Sunday. Ms. Cruz invited others to join them at the Ritz-Carlton in Cancún, where they had stayed “many times,” noting the room price this week ($309 per night) and its good security. The text messages were provided to The New York Times and confirmed by a second person on the thread, who declined to be identified because of the private nature of the texts.

because a pre-planned trip to Cancun was cancelled by the weather. But they're aged 10 and 13 -- it's not as though he and his wife would have been helping to chaperone a handful of high-schoolers.

He's finally gotten around to admitting he made a mistake -- we ALL make mistakes. But there are mistakes (such a dropping a baseball when the bases are loaded), and then there are mistakes (such as trying to steal a base when the bases are loaded).
