I'm watching Joaquin Castro on Anderson Cooper. He looks beyond exhausted.

I remember that feeling of being almost completely without energy when my power was out for almost a week. And I didn't have the additional responsibilities that he has.

I hope he can start getting some rest.

my power would be out 8 to 10 hours, then would come on for an hour.....OMG, I would run around during that one hour doing all KINDS of things.....my power seems to have stabilized for now

With mine, every passing day I grew so much more frustrated. The power went out on a Sunday and I didn't get to wash up, at all, until Wednesday night when my brother came over to keep an eye on things, and I headed to my mom's house for a shower, some food and some sleep. I didn't sleep at all the first three days because I had to bail out the sump pump crock every 90 or so minutes, to keep the basement from flooding. Then when they brought the generator over, it was so loud, plus I had to keep track of the gas usage, AND the wind shifted and blew carbon monoxide into the house. (It was in the open doorway of a screened in porch. They put it close to the house so it wouldn't be so obvious to the generator thieves who were scouring the neighborhoods.) Fortunately, I was supine, most of the time and before it built up to a fatal level, we realized what was happening and moved it.

That was 2013 and I still get PTSD flashbacks whenever they issue an ice storm alert.

I hope your power stays on!!

I just have to make sure my faucets are dripping. I was already stocked up on food due to wanting to do less trips to the grocery store during a pandemic. I did, however, donate my battery-operated fake candles to a neighbor with two kids.
