When you have state governments that continually refuse to invest in planning for natural disasters

and pass on those savings in the way of lower taxes for the citizens of that state should everyone else have to keep paying for that? I mean, I want to help people but after a certain point its not help its subsidizing. In the case of Texas maybe the state should have to pay back the federal government by raising taxes or something. Just a thought.
ps, of course we should help them, we should help anyone we can.

Those who are board members of the grid organization and the governors who let this go on after being warned ten years ago need to be fined in the amount that it costs to repair the damage.

The citizens pay lower taxes because they dont have to upgrade their infrastructure and vote for people who support lower taxes. Conservatives love to tell you how low taxes are in texas. Its what they want so if we have to step up for them then they should not be able to keep lower taxes. Maybe?

Any Texas Republican worth his hat would tell you that things are working exactly as they should.
