Fox News host Laura Ingraham was buried in mockery for insisting that achieving herd immunity by April would be "bad news" for President Joe Biden.
Dr. Marty Makary, a professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, argued in a Wall Street Journal op-ed that rapidly falling cases showed the pandemic was winding down due to a variety of factors -- natural immunity from prior infections and increasing numbers of vaccinations -- and Ingraham suggested Biden would be disappointed.
"Bad news for Biden, Fauci and the pro-shutdown Left?" Ingraham tweeted. "Herd immunity by April (acquired immunity + vaccines = HI)"

(48,864 posts)I thought at first everyone being forced to stay in their houses for a few days would help bring numbers down. But that was before widespread lengthy power outages, damage from broken pipes, and boil water orders. Now we have people gathering at shelters or other peoples houses and clustering at restaurants that are able to cook and serve food. And thats unfortunately necessary, but I think there will be a Covid price to pay.

(3,748 posts)A reality where pro-shutdown left = not wanting to see a cure and for this pandemic to be finally over. In other words, the entire REASON for wanting people to isolate, and for needing the economy to shutdown (to reduce the spread of Covid, get the pandemic under control, and save lives) is a lie, in genius Lauras twisted mind. And somehow, seeing the end of this through vaccines and herd immunity is somehow bad news for us.
Tell us, Laura, what is the REAL reason we want shutdowns? I seriously doubt her brain has thought it through that far.
