The Christmas after 9/11 I was driving to Boston with my family, it was a long snowy ride and we (wife, children and family dog, who was no snowflake BTW) 13 hours into the trip, pulled off 84 in CT looking for a hotel. After trying 3 that would not take the dog, I checked my wife and children into a courtyard and the dog and I slept in the car. It was in the low 20’s outside but between the 100 lb dog and the 240 lb dad, we stayed warm enough to get a few hours of sleep before starting the car and warming it up for a few more hours
