It's civilizational crushing, spirit killing, and the long-term effect is to try and get the elites in this country to discard any remaining shred of meritocracy.

The first obligation of education, Tucker, is to be true. The Black Lives Matter narrative is based on lies. It is a lie that racism defines the shape of American society today.

Far more complex factors than racism lie behind socio-economic and racial disparities -- factors like family breakdown, culture, attitudes towards academic achievement, and criminal involvement. Far from being racist, every American mainstream institution today gives preferences to Blacks and Hispanics in hiring.

So, Americans should reject the Black Lives Matter narrative and they should sure reject it in education where it is going to divide this country further and destroy any possibility of further civilizational advance.

Carlson is talking about having a permanent vicious circle. Establish a wretched lower class with no education and/or job-skills training. Give them substandard housing and keep them poor. Then using the arrogant Calvinistic policies, establish legislation that prevents them from rising above their status. Then look down on them because of their inferiority that was forced upon them.

BTW, the undereducated whites haven't done much for "further civilization advance" last time I looked.

I think it's more of a case that more people can now hear it when it is being said.

The better you understand racism, the covert as well as the overt - the subtle as well as the blatant - the better you can recognize it when you hear it.

The more people acknowledge and examine white privilege, the easier it is to see the racism in comments and actions.

Something someone said that once went through one ear and out the other becomes an "aha" moment.

Fox News has always been blatantly racist, for example. They never did try to hide it, to my way of seeing it. No amount of coded language hid it for me. Dog whistles are bullhorns to my hearing.

For me, both the subtle and the blatant sound the same. Loud, in your face, and dangerous.

I watched the video and read the article.

It's the same old racist fear-mongering since slavery was abolished. Black people are a danger to white people. Black people are the enemy of white people. White people = Western Civilization = America= Greatness - means black people are inferior and a danger to everything white people created. Hence, black codes, Jim Crow, etc.. All attacks meant to oppress black people. All meant to keep black people silent and unseen. All meant to erase the actual history of America, slavery, and black Americans.

History isn't always written by the victors. The Confederacy lost and they still rewrote the history of slavery and the Civil War enough to shape the thinking of generations - and not just in the South. Their lies, the same lies being spouted today, shaped and applied to current events, are still going strong.
