So it begins for the rest of us. .no produce to speak of at Trader Joe's in Colo. Spgs yesterday, a

friend who had just been there told me. No trucks, no goods from TX, etc. crops gone, including citrus. As our sisters and brothers dig out from this week of horror, the impacts will be felt everywhere.

Please be safe everyone, and remember your shock pills when you go to the grocery stores, get gas, get your utility bills.

Especially since I’m still waiting for power to return to refresh my veggie supplies.

I guess I’ll stock up on some frozen veg. My chest freezer will be empty anyway. We generally have bananas and honey crisp apples for fresh fruit and those aren’t reliant on Texas at least.

Sadly all of my kale/mustard/lettuce starts are toast. Or at least I don’t expect that they’ve survived. I can restart them again though and have micro greens in just a few weeks.

Naturally we don't have a Trader Joe's, but I did go to King Soopers yesterday to get fruit and there seemed to be plenty, for now. I'm sure we'll be feeling the impact soon.

to rid Texans of these selfish politicians.

Not only are the citizens of Texas in for a world of hurt, but the REST of the country (during the pandemic and financial insecurity) are being hit by rising costs in just about everything we use on a diurnal basis!

Plus - I always have trays of mini greeens in my windows and a few cherry tomato plants - to have super fresh salads throughout the winter.
