Texas Appears to Be a Libertarian State

You know,

"Let the market decide."
"A libertarian society is a just society for the successful."
"People are responsible for their own welfare."
"Regulations are a Socialist construct."
"Individual liberty is the highest principle."
"Get off my damn lawn!"

"Now, where is my damned FEMA check?"

Pleasure Cruz is already pushing for a measure to insure that Texas taxpayers foot the bill for the winterization that was recommended 10 years ago but never implemented by Texas’s private power companies.

Libertarian? Not even close. It’s gonna be socialized losses and privatized profits—pure, right-wing Republicanism of the kind that suits Texas.

My definition starts with, "I've got mine. Good luck to you. Now, give me $5 for walking on my road or I'll kill you and bury you over there with the others."

In fact, there are many who don't believe women have any right to have many rights at all.

There are several varieties of libertarianism, actually.

Most see liberty as something they have. Others are on their own.

If they want heat and light, they should buy a generator, see? BTW, I have generators for sale. "Special 145% Polar Vortex Price Increase! Supplies Limited!"

See how that works?

Price gouging is a time honored conservative tradition. I always thought of libertarians as conservatives on steroids, though they have some compatible ideas on drug regulation.

Most are some variation of egotism, though. It's all about "me." "Who cares about you? Get your own."

Every incel, for example, is a libertarian. They're all pissed that women don't want to have sex with them, but it's never their own fault, see...

Kentucky is right in there with Texas. It's just smaller. He and Moscow Mitch have got their own thing going.
