Somebody put roses on cars in a Walmart parking lot Monday.

The local sheriff posted to Facebook looking for suspects, calling it a “human trafficking technique.”

It went viral. QAnon moral panic.

Turns out they were leftover roses from Valentine’s Day.

Roses left on vehicles create temporary panic at Coshocton Walmart
Dozens of roses were left on vehicles, leading people to call the sheriff’s office, which issued a warning about a potential tie to human trafficking.

It was a moral panic instigated by the cops. No one mentioned Qanon. The cops used it for their own propaganda.

They are always left at my door...

WTF???????????????

Because Columbus OH is a huge human trafficking hub... Didn't know that...

And don't get me started about why human traffickers would want Walmart customers...

A beautiful thing happens, and people fly into a panic.

Shows how ugly, tawdry, squalid, and meaningless these people's lives are.

I never knew that came with roses.

Sounds like a really nice thing to do to brighten strangers' day!

I bought half a dozen used bud vases from a thrift store, put a red rose in each one, and put them on the cash registers at the supermarket I shopped in regularly. Like a lot of supermarkets, all of the checkers were women. Nobody thought I was sexually harassing them, either. They all just smiled and said, "Thanks!"
