Rafael "Ted" Cruz says - "Sucks to be you!"

He never gave any thought to how it might look if he and his family flew to warmer climes after the deep freeze in Texas. Why would he? He's got it made, see? Through his own efforts he thinks, he's a Senator and married wealth. In his mind, other people should do the same thing or something similar.

If they don't, well, that's too bad for them. I mean, look at all of the Texans with Hispanic last names who are living on small wages and poor education. "Hell," Ted says, "I'm Hispanic myself. See my name? If I can do it, so can you. If you don't, well, it sucks to be you, then."

Ted says, "See, I can fly to Cancun when it's cold. It's your own damn fault you can't do the same. USA! USA! USA!"

That's the modern form of Republicanism, which has morphed into the very worst form of libertarianism. Ted's got his. Ted says, "If you don't have yours, that's your own damned fault, see? If you're black and poor, you should have been born white, see? Sucks to be you! Not my fault."

I saw some Republicans on TV talking about, if social security were to run out of money, people would have to make "other plans." What the F kind of other plans could people make? "Just too bad you didn't save 50k per year toward your retirement."

He's truly despicable.

Cornyn's politics are just as bad, but at least he had the courtesy to retweet emergency resources during the storm.
