The Newsmax show "Greg Kelly Reports" ran a segment on Friday voicing criticism of one of President Joe Biden's German Shepherd dogs.

Kelly put up a photo of the dog to accompany his commentary.

"Doesn't he look a little, uh, a little rough?" Kelly asked.

"I love dogs, but this dog needs a bath and a comb and all kinds of love and care. I've never seen a dog in the White House like this," he said. "I remember Buddy, I remember Millie, I remember lots of dogs, but not a dog who seems -- I don't know, I don't know how much love and care he is getting."

And both of these dogs are gorgeous! Champ is 12, for heavens sakes! A little gray around the muzzle makes him distinguished in my book. The Bidens are fortunate to still have him. My old boy Pete died at 12, and our other three shepherds we lost at 10.

17. It was too long ago to remember details but I remember made up controversy over LBJ's beagles, too

I grew up with a beagle and a rescued German Shepherd named Sugar, who had been abused and lost her tail. I think she was about 12 when she broke her hip and had to be put down. The beagle made it to 16 and died of heart failure.
