Yep, assholes there were also decrying the federal Government and lo and behold they had terrible flooding. All of a sudden the Feds showed up with disaster relief and checks. All of a sudden they began to recognize that there was a reason for the existence of a central government and command. Unfortunately it did not translate to the region becoming Democratic consistently. 😢

(153,258 posts)for example, my power was out 8-10 hours, then would come back on for an hour....a mile down the road, a coworker never lost power, but she hasn't had water for three days.....my water is fine.....nuts!
Repukes ALWAYS trash the feds but then go crying to the them for help when things go wrong - consevatives are fucking HYPOCRITES........the feeling now is that Texas repukes are going to have to actually GOVERN instead of worrying about abortion and who can use public restrooms. I'll believe that when I see it.

(2,636 posts)bad time for Texas economy to be in this kind of third world emergency.
I can't decide if I want Beto O'Rourke to run for Governor in 22, or wait to kick Cruz's ass in 2024. Maybe one of the Castro Brothers could kick Ted's ass. and COrnyn's.
