This unbending devotion to such a destructive, malevolent man is seen only in the most totalitarian

of cults.

They still today (literally today on the Sundays) pander to his vicious and wicked rhetoric and excuse his calls to violence, because they have pandered to and created a base that is wholly bought into the MAGA death cult and the know without Trump giving them his racist, fascist seal of approval they will be primaried by the proper batshit cray cray loopy tunes, and they will lose out to them because Trump controls the cult.

Let’s face it, Trump would not have given a shit if they died during the insurrection, in fact he would probably have revelled in the ratings increase the murder of a lawmaker would inevitably have caused. They know this and still they pander. Pathetic.

Also the AKP party in Turkey. According to the latest V-Dem project in which many political scientists analyzes political parties around the planet for rising authoritarianism.

They find the Democratic Party has retained its commitment to longstanding democratic standards.

Btw, note the existence of the "illiberal left" in the graph. Failure of commitment to democratic ideals, or outright opposition, is much more prevalent on but not confined to the RW. Promising to overset elections that don't go their way sells to some on the left who, exactly like those on the right, fool themselves that it's only right to overset majorities who'll never give them what they want. And whatever else it takes. "Lock her up!"

These cultists will continue to stand by the side of the road breathing in exhaust waving Trump signs, continue sending their money to support Trump's family lifestyle, some going to jail and losing their jobs. The capacity for these people to be humiliated and used is off the charts.

Its truly as sick as any cult ever, zero difference from Jonestown.

military and citizenry followed Hitler to Dresden and beyond to a total defeat. 70 million follow trump. Same same type mentality. Racist. Fascist. Murderers.

Some may know it intellectually, but don't process it as data anywhere near as important as The Dear Leader's words, nor anywhere near as true. It's just something that hangs in the air.

For the majority, if not the great majority, they don't ponder those issues at all. For that to not be true, it would mean we were wrong all along about their ability to hold two conflicting thoughts in their cranial sludge at the same time...or that ability just doesn't matter as much as we thought.
