He is scheduled to be the star speaker at next Sunday's CPAC Convention.
When he gets his standing ovation from the dominant crowd of conservatives at the CPAC Convention, the hostile takeover will be complete.
One wonders what Mitch McConnell and some of the other delusional Republicans think about them being kicked under the bus so quickly, after they voted to not convict him in his impeachment trial, or even to prohibit him from running again? They must see that they screwed up big time? Especially those that were thinking of running for the Presidency themselves?
Even the flies on the wall are whispering to each other.
But, it is all a sham. It is a quixotic dream of a power-mad narcissist and is doomed to failure. It will not protect him from what is coming down the road. And it certainly will not protect the Republican Party or CPAC.
It is rather entertaining to watch this slow-motion destruction of Republican hypocrites.

(17,862 posts)And I think it will be another coin flip election possibly with even a higher margin for the Democratic candidate over the Republican. I can't imagine what will happen if he loses by 10 million popular votes but squeaks through because of things like splitting the Wisconsin Electoral college by Congressional district along with the already built in inequities (voter suppression, weight towards small states, etc).

(32,754 posts)I dont believe he will run. If he declares, the money he is taking in becomes subject to FEC laws. Right now, hes keeping the majority of the money, if not all of it and thats how he wants it.
I think the enthusiasm, or should I say woke fear will be with us in 24..hopefully the same in 22 and we keep the house blue.

(14,562 posts)if he is still walking and not in jail he wins the nomination easily and just as you noted, it will be coin flip election.
I do think he will muck up the mid terms to some degree for them, because he will help a lot of freak show circus clowns win nominations who will struggle in a general without him on the ballot ...
