Today's google doodle honours Zitkala Sa, native and women's rights activist, educator, writer,

musician and composer. Born on the Yankton Sioux Reservation, Feb. 22, 1876, she first went to missionary schools, later graduated from college, taught, wrote books and articles, played violin and piano, and collaborated on the writing of "The Sun Dance Opera", the first opera with a NATIVE American theme.

Her story is truly remarkable.
