Al Capone was was convicted of tax evasion because they could not get him on his larger criminal activities.

With Trump, his tax and financial records will open the door to all of his criminal activities for which he can be prosecuted.

Believe me, it won't be just tax evasion.

I'm sure there will be bank, wire (and probably securities) fraud to go with the tax evasion, however.
