remember that line in The Truman Show movie -"How's It Going to End"?

It's amazing how often that line has crept into my consciousness the last (more than) 4 years. Though we are in a much better place now, I still often replay that line.

I have to say that using the trash word on DU has made the last few weeks far more delightful, because someone undeserving of being in the news, now that we have a great - a real - president, no longer shows up in my feed.

But reading the headlines on various news sites - the Clarence Thomas bullshit, the continuing BIG LIE propagation, all of the complexity and to-be-determined things about COVID (will the antivaxxers continue to be laboratories for mutations, will the big part of the population who won't get the vaccine ever come to their senses, just to name 2), The big orange asshole's taxes and what we may learn, everything that president Biden and the Democrats are tying to do to fix things (or begin to fix things), the very pissed off climate and what it is doing to us. So, so much.

We really are living in quite a time. Maybe I should change my brain-worm of "how's it going to end" to "what the fuck will happen next"!

Today the rain stopped, it hit the mid 50s. There are daffodil stalks poking out of the ground, swelling buds on our magnolia, a few crocus just opened. We may be a month away, but spring is beginning to spring and that always makes me feel better - poised to start some indoor seed planting this coming weekend. It is always easier to endure the shit show of politics when there is a garden to tend, or a hike to take with my wife and dogs.
