Yes he's a good man - from the heart. Honest. Compassionate. Willing to fight for us.

(9,988 posts)She got her ticket on the money train years ago, and that is all she cares about. She should get a divorce quickly now that the SC has given the green light to giving Vance Trumps tax documents. It takes to imagination to think that any comparison of valuations are totally different than valuations for tax purposes. Fraud, fraud, everywhere! Melania should get her money while there is still some left.

(23,926 posts)following in the footsteps of an out-and-out sociopath really highlights the genuine decency of our President.

(11,738 posts)President Obama was also a very empathetic person, but he had a more aloof and academic demeanor. I think some of that was as a necessity for President Obama because if he had let his guard down too much, the right would have called him "ghetto". They went after Michelle for dancing, even as a Princeton and Harvard educated attorney, she was "too Black", to ghetto for people on the right.
Biden has always had that "everyman" appeal. He is hard scrabble, Wilmington, Delaware and Scranton, Pennsylvania. One of my favorite SNL skits is where they have Vice President Biden going up against Sarah Palin in the VP debate in 2008 and he talks about being from Scranton, "the worst place in the world, aside from Wilmington, Delaware"
I was not for Biden in the primary but as I said many times, the one thing about Biden that always, always stood out, was what a genuinely good and caring human being he is. When compared to what we had the last 4 years, that cannot be any more visible.

But he had quite funny bits of dry wit snark in some of his campaign speeches for Biden.

(833 posts)rebuke to his predecessor. I know that was not his 1st, 2nd, or 3rd purpose--maybe it was the furthest thing from his mind. But the contrast is staggering, heart-wrenching. I have a President who is doing God's work, as he sees it. I have a President who cares for his people. Even when he stumbles, and he's bound to, we're all blessed.
the perfect man for this time

(8,075 posts)He's doing a WONDERFUL job, a WONDERFUL job, number 1.
Number 2, he's trying his darnedest during--no wait I'm being serious--the most ADVERSE conditions we've ever faced as a nation.

(14,891 posts)how his empathy shines!
Also being in the Senate, and VP with President Obama for 8 years has given him a hell of a lot experience to draw on.
( In a way like Hillary had First Lady, Senator, and Secretary - a big boat load of experiences, plus some of her earlier jobs etc )
So I am pleased at what he's done so far. 👍

(901 posts)The whole thing looked presidential, looked like America is great. Watching Dotard on those steps that night, he just cant hold a candle to Biden.
