Just so happened that my husband got a call from the VA and made his appointment for this AM. Then, later that same day, I got a text from my county here in Florida with a number to enter the website and make an appointment. So we both got our injections an hour apart. So far so good as feeling OK goes. My arm started to get sore about an hour ago but his is fine. No ill effects. They were so efficient where I went that it was amazing. In to the registration table, off to the vaccine room. Guy said go to station #3 where there were 2 gals. One talked to me while I was standing there while the other hit me with the shot. No sitting in a chair like we have all seen on TV many times! Seems they have a method to their madness as to keeping you occupied talking and, before you know it, off you go to wait in the next room for 30 minutes in case of a reaction. They would pop in every 10 min or so and ask the room if we were all doing OK. Told the crew in the hallway as I left that they were doing a super job and thanks so much.

(7,968 posts)I got Moderna. I was definitely a little off the 2nd day but nothing serious. I'm wondering how I'll do with the 2nd shot on March 11th.
We are also wondering what it will be like after the 2nd shot. We are feeling fine right now. Will see what tomorrow brings. I think it takes about 2 weeks for full effect of antibodies to be there. Will check later to see how it all works. Good luck on the 11th and keep us all posted out here.

They only made us wait 15 minutes, although were there around 20.
We got ours at the Indiana University School of Medicine Neuroscience Center. A fantastic facility.
