He opposes everything from minimum wage increase to opposing people of color so it seems to certain positions and having a stagnant Senate ala the filibuster.

controlling the senate and its commitees is key. Its more important than occasionally losing a vote.

a GQPer, that percentage would have been close to 90%. He voted twice to convict the impeached Trump.

(Susan Collins, as a point of comparison, a supposed “moderate”, voted with Trump 65% of the time, per 538).

I think Biden probably factored in that Manchin would pick a few Biden nominations and pieces of Dem legislation to oppose, to help stay in his job.

Senator Manchin has voted with the Trump Administration 74% of the time[1] and shares many of the President’s priorities when it comes to promoting fair trade, repealing Obama-era regulations, and protecting our national security:

Hopefully, he's reached an agreement with Schumer where he'll make lots of noise on meaningless issues and even derail an appointment or two, in exchange for being locked in on big votes that really matter like covid relief and healthcare.

Hopefully that's the calculation. Hopefully.

Biden's nominees so far have been bipartisan, maybe not as much as they should be, but they've been confirmed easily.
I wouldn't be surprised if he has some sort of deal worked out w/ Murkowski, Romney, et al. for cover on the tougher votes.

pretty darn fast by adding DC and PR as states. Then he can go fuck himself. Never ceases to amaze me that the dirt poor people in WVA keep voting this asshole in. He needs to be neutered and then find himself powerless and he can vote with the pukes all he wants to.
