Bachmann was/is just nuts.

For Boebert, her ignorance is intentional and part of the act. This is how she wants to be seen. She's pretty clearly playing the "female Trump" role, right down to using many of his same phrases.

I don't think she's calculating in the sense that she's "acting." She's really stupid.

Take a look at some of her comments about our government. She has NO IDEA how it works. Thankfully, that's what limited Trump's damage.

Boebert going to either do something over the line or she'll just be a fringe nut-case.

He's not as dumb as he appears. Much of what he does is an act. To me, it seems completely obvious.

Proof was on the Woodward tapes, where he sounds like a halfway normal human. His public persona is almost entirely made up.

Boebert is no different. She's clearly channeling Trump and it's quite intentional. Most of the GOP plays dumb. She's just better at it than many.

Boebert, OTOH, is indeed an all-round fucking moronic POS lightweight.

in the American zeitgeist that has produced an environment where a Boebert-type is ADORED by 100 million or so US citizens. I mean, sure, we can say guns, gawd, white power, and greed, but ffs, cannot people at least see that they are buying into a death cult that will fuck almost all of them at every level, both great and small, at the end of day?

Most all of them will NEVER be at a systemic controller level of wealth, most all of the women will be brutalised in a myriad numbers of ways, and the lower 90+% of Rethugs will just get an insane level of wealth extracted from them by ones up at the pyramidion. Almost all of them WILL be hurt by a lack of regulation (PROTECTION) and an ever-degrading environment. Their progeny are going to be hellscaped down the road.

It is literally a collective suicide pact they have entered into, with a massively lowered (for all but a few) quality of life to exist in on the way down to the death pit. The best thing I can come up with for a meta-explanation is the willing suspension of disbelief that is necessary to believe in a god or gods has perma-fucked-their brains (with aid from technologically-enabled/enhanced forms of agitprop-driven mass/social media brainwashing/reflexive control/programming mechanisms).

As an outsider who did not grow up there, I simply cannot, even given all my analytical skills and vast amounts (for my age) of global travel (which gives me a broad basis for comparison), cannot wrap my mind around it. It seems all so illogical, all so self-destructive, and all so unnecessary.

I don't know why that's so hard for people to understand. She can have a basic lack of intelligence *and* be conning everyone at the same time. To me, the fact that she's putting on a show is even more obvious than Trump doing so.

It's blindingly obvious. Do people really think her constant use of Trump phrases is just a happy accident?

There was an interview of a group of his other biographers, before the 2016 election, and they laughingly all said that the Trump seen publicly was ACTUALLY him.

I'm saying that his public persona is clearly an act. You obviously don't think so, yet there's solid evidence. You just choose to ignore it and twist what I said.

Same with Boebert. She's putting on a show, but you just don't want to see it. You'd rather just assume that they're dumb as bricks and that there's no thought or planning behind it.

The two are not mutually exclusive. It's possible that both can exist at the same time. In fact, it's obvious.

Everyone underestimated Trump and just assumed he was an idiot and that everything he did was just off the cuff. It's not - everything he says has intent and that intent is to generate a specific response from a specific audience. Meanwhile, he got elected and fucked up the country.

Enjoy your evening.

All of his biographers would disagree with you, from what I read in 2016 when most of the mainstream media kept wondering when he'd drop the act, as they also assumed, and finally behave "Presidential".

Sorry, but the Woodward tapes never made him seem "not as dumb" to me, but only made it more clear that he's a LIAR too.

"Many people were quick to notice that Trump's tone and speech in the recording was a complete departure from what we see on a daily basis: not only did he seem to have incredibly specific details about the illness long before the rest of the U.S. did, but many pointed out how lucid the president sounds in this recording, which is very unlike the rest of his press briefings, where he’s known for bumbling and tripping over his words and speaking in nonsensical sentences."

https://www.refinery29.com/en-us/2020/09/10015913/trump-woodward-tape-covid-19-voice-truth

That's closer to the real Trump, whatever that is. It doesn't even sound like the same person. It doesn't sound like the same person because it's not.

What we see is the act. It couldn't be more obvious, but it's just easier for people to assume he's just dumb as shit and what we see is the "real" Trump. He's an actor playing a role.

The way Retrumplicans Gerrymandered the "eff" out of states wherever they could in 2011, it's gotten to the point where the ONLY recourse Americans have is to vote with their pocketbooks and wallets.

I do regret saying this about my fellow Americans, but if the voters in that area send POS like her and Gym Jordan to congress, there needs to be a grassroots effort to starve those places.

Find businesses located in those districts and boycott them.

Grassroots campaigns to end tourism to those areas.

Cut them off. Shun them.

There will be no change until the people in those districts suffer the consequences of their choices.

Texas is a perfect example. If we use taxpayer funds to make the electric utilities whole, the message sent is "there's no consequences for poor choices". They'll be back in 2 years giving Retrumplicans their votes all over again.

If Donnie Dipshit taught us anything, it's that this is a line in the fucking sand era for sane Americans
