Kentucky couple arrested in connection with riots at U.S. Capitol

OWENSBORO, Ky. — FBI Louisville announced two more Kentuckians have been arrested in connection with the violent riots at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Lori Ann Vinson and Thomas Roy Vinson were arrested in Owensboro, Kentucky on February 23. According to FBI Louisville, the Vinsons are facing charges of knowingly entering or remaining in an restricted building or grounds, disorderly conduct which impedes the conduct of government business, disruptive conduct in the Capitol buildings and parading, demonstrating or picketing in the Capitol buildings.

... snip ...

A Facebook screenshot included in the complaint allegedly shows that Lori Vinson claimed to be one of the first 100 people to enter the Capitol.

Multiple witnesses are listed in the court documents, saying Lori Vinson admitted to entering the Capitol.

The complaint also says Lori Vinson participated in television interviews prior to her arrest, during which she said,"I felt like I've done nothing wrong and I wouldn't change it," and, "I would do this all over again tomorrow."

Riots are spontaneous mob violence. This insurrection was planned, funded, and directed at Congress. Hermit-The-Prog Feb 2021 #3

and that's why she's locked up today...presumably. The article didn't mention the possibility of bail.

"I would do it again tomorrow." That's not going to play well in front of a judge. This person should get no bail because of those comments.

That should cost her an extra year or two in the federal pen.

and jobs that allow time off. Though the responsibility of all this belongs to the for-profit messengers of "conservatism", the 24/7 lie peddlers like FOX, etc., it's finally people who willingly do stupid things that act irresponsibly. And these guys weren't kids. They just got caught up in an echo chamber where, to them, even their own half-assed ramblings took on great dimension and profundity.

I'm glad I'm not young these days. It makes the 60's look like kindergarten.

Somewhere at the root of this is, I suspect, the greater, older lie. The one that goes, "social security is a fraud and won't be there for us."

Perfect alibi. I wasn't there; I was in jail for Jan 6th.

Also, there is this:

The complaint also says Lori Vinson participated in television interviews prior to her arrest, during which she said,"I felt like I've done nothing wrong and I wouldn't change it," and, "I would do this all over again tomorrow."

Imagine getting stopped for speeding and saying to the arresting officer. I did nothing wrong my new "Mustang" has a speedometer that tops out at 140 mph. The road is flat, straight, dry, empty, and I was only doing a little over 100!
