He was installed to wreck the USPS. He has done a lot more damage than mess with the election. Focusing on that aspect is counterproductive because he will never be convicted for tampering with the election, because you will never prove intent. However, he can and should be convicted for destroying all of the mail sorting machines.

I'm not sure DeJoy is the #1 most important thing Joe needs to work on right now, but I'm confident he will get to it.

Personally, I'd like it if thousands of Americans weren't dying every day.

The Postmaster General is nominated by the Postal Service Board of Governors. Only they can fire him - and as of now, all of those currently serving on this Board were installed by Trump.

However, Biden CAN nominate new Board members, and that process has begun. See: Biden administration is in the process of vetting candidates to nominate to serve on the USPS Board

Given how slow they have been to act on Biden’s major appointments like the Attorney General, it could be months before the Senate finally gets around to the USPS Board nominees. I understand that the impeachment trial has just ended, but this would seem to be a matter of some importance also. Meanwhile DeJoy has full power to wreck the USPS. Once the businesses that have long relied on the USPS have forged new contracts with other vendors to receive inventory or mail products to customers, that business may be lost for years. The USPS cannot survive on first-class mail. It needs package deliveries, and DeJoy’s deliberate slowdown is jeopardizing that business. How much time does he need to make it difficult to recover at all?

Louis DeJoy is still postmaster because he can only be fired by the USPS Board of Governors. The current Board consists of two Democrats and four Republicans. But there are three vacancies.

To save the postal service, Biden must fill those vacancies and send DeJoy packing.

We are in the 35th full day of this administration. Pandemic aside, and domestic terrorist insurrection and ongoing threat aside, the enormity of work to do to salvage and set straight our institutional system defies comprehension.

Take heart... a change with the USPS Board of Governors is underway:

We'll get there. But mail-in voting is also under assault in over half the states. IMHO, that's an even more monumental battle we must fight and win.

....the current Board is all republican. In 2016 President Obama nominated five people to the Board, but one Senator put a hold on their confirmation. That enabled trump to fill the vacancies in 2017.
