3/4 of all voters, including 60% of Republicans, support Biden's $1.9 trillion stimulus plan

A majority of all voters, including Republicans, support the passage of President Joe Biden's proposed $1.9 trillion COVID-19 aid package, a new Politico/Morning Consult poll shows.

The legislation, called the American Rescue Act, is set to receive its first vote in the US House on February 26.

The Politico/Morning Consult poll found that 76% of all Americans strongly support or somewhat support the legislation, with just 17% saying that they somewhat oppose or strongly oppose the package.

Among Republicans, 60% of voters strongly support or somewhat support the bill, with 30% somewhat or strongly opposing the legislation.

At some point, for our kids and grandkids if not us, the bills we have been racking up, primarily due to tax cuts for the rich over multiple presidencies, are going to come due. I would feel better and it would cut deep into Repub points of resistance if there was a plan outlined for getting back to some sort of fiscal sanity. Bill Clinton made inroads in this and got close to a balanced budget. It doesn't have to be before passing the $1.9 T bill but should be put out there for both immediate political consumption and good long term planning for the country.

To make sure the the voters of the reps who oppose it, are thoroughly informed that their R rep is against any relief for them.

As far as Manchin, if he indicates that he will never support it, no matter what, then start his primary already. Garner a progressive candidate to start the ball rolling.
