I wonder if some in the media were expecting a big scandal to erupt. Sounds like just an accident with some pretty horrific injuries. (The graphic I saw of what happened to his leg was nightmarish.)

That story takes only a few minutes to cover, and then move on and briefly update when something changes.

I haven't had the tv on yet today, now I'm afraid to turn it on. Can't believe I watched for a hour last night as they anticipated the wrecking truck coming to tow the car away. *live* coverage of a tow truck even.
