1. But the "where and now" are very important.

We need to find ways to get to people where they receive their information and misinformation.
But, how we do that, I don’t have a clue.
Do we try to get more spokespersons on Fox News and other right wing media that perpetuate GOP lies. ? That hasn’t seemed to work.

3. Exactly. Until we can address the issue of disinformation this is a lost fight.

If we can not institute some kind of fair doctrine again and outlets like Fox News and OAN can spread disinformation, no amount of fact or truth is going to convince trump followers.

7. Anyone invested in the truth should simply call out any and all media outlets peddling lies.

Whenever Focksnooze lies (which is quite often) it should be stated that they lied to their viewers on whatever subject they are discussing. OAN, Newsmax, et al. Not "they're being untruthful" or "that's not factual." They need to be called "liars!" and that they're "lying!"

Another tactic we can all use is a viral virtual boycott for starters of their advertisers. Do you (well-known company) want your product and/or service associated with blatant liars? Disinformation peddlers? Fascistic propagandists? I know this won't affect Mike Lindell (My Pillow Guy) but, most companies are very protective of their image.

The intentional lies must stop. We cannot go on like this and pretend we can have a livable society.

The trumpers are so indoctrinated that you can not reason with them using facts. They will simply refuse to believe them.

8. Nope, that is not enough, the liars must be made accountable, too many people think

they are telling the truth.

That is why I find Dominion lawsuits so important, and I hope Dominion wins all of them, republicans do not understand any other way, they DO know what the truth is, but they will use it to twist the facts.

For example: We all know it was trump's supporters who invaded the Capitol...there you have an elected official, Ron Johnson making up lies he knows are not true, they don't care, it is all a big game to them, it is a sport to them, they don't take governing seriously.

No, they only way to get rid of the liars is to make them accountable and to punish the crap out of them.

9. We must come to grips with the many ways social media is warping our national psyche

For example, now that Facebook is encrypting messages and their content moderators are long gone (due in part to Covid & their high cost, given the business model) we are in a very dire situation. Telling the truth will only get us so far in these circumstances.

You can tell the truth to Ron Johnson as much as you want, it would be like talking to a wall.
