The only way that we are going to raise the minimum wage is through reconciliation or ending the filibuster. In my view, I do not see in the foreseeable future getting significant support from Republicans, says Sen. Bernie Sanders. Aired on 02/24/2021.

$15 isn't a living wage today by the time it actually gets to $15/hour it will be even worse. Still, I suppose it's better than nothing.
But what makes me grinds my teeth is that the arguments being put forth against are the same arguments that have been used everytime the minimum wage has been raised. Those arguments weren't true then, they aren't now.

on the idea that people will be "paid what they are worth".
Yeah, well, if someone is hungry enough, they'll work for a crust of bread...that's the world they want.
