Most Republican politicians are just fine with pandering to the religious right, somehow the faithful believe everything that is spoken. Just like in a religious setting, no critical thinking or evidence is required if your leader says it’s so. Blind following a leader is a bad, bad path to take. We need more critical thinking in our educational system, more civics too.
