Republican Hypocrisy Poll Part Two

Is it hypocritical for Trumplicans to whine about the so-called "cancel culture" when they try to "cancel" everyone they don't like?

Hypocrisy is really when someone claims to have a certain standard, but fails to live up to it themselves. The true hypocrite either feels guilty for failing to meet their own standard, or doesn't really believe the standard they claim.

Either way, a hypocrite think the standard should apply equally to themselves and to others.

That's not the case with republicans. They believe in a hierarchical society where different standards apply to different strata. Their consistent view is that white people deserve all kinds of privilege while black people don't deserve much of anything, for example.

So, nothing hypocritical about their attitude toward "cancel culture". They think they belong to a social stratum at the top of the hierarchy where they are entitled to zero consequences to their offensive speech, while people in lower strata, such as Colin kaepernick, should suffer things like a destroyed career when they dare to question the privilege of those in the higher strata or complain about the implications of being in a lower stratum.

In short, it's not hypocrisy because it's consistent with their view of a world with different standards for different classes of people. This is much worse than mere hypocrisy.
