If Neera Tanden can't be named "acting director" why not name someone

as Director, who agrees privately to hire her as their second in command and allow her to make the decisions for the office? I'm sure someone could be found that could be confirmed that would be happy to take the position and salary and
"work" closely with Neera. Would Neera decline such a tacit agreement?

It would not be a new position. If they really want Neera's imput, this is a way to do it.

CoS Ron Klain said that if she wasn't confirmed, they would find her a position that didn't require Senate approval. I don't think they want to use any of the previous regime's tactics.

Would Tanden accept...I don't know, but it is a reasonable tactic.
