Rep Al Green set him straight:
The most forceful comments came from Rep. Al Green (D-TX), who looked directly at Steube and told him, "You used God to enslave my foreparents. You used God to segregate me in schools. You used God to put me in the back of he bus. Have you no shame?"

(82,849 posts)See, I'll bet that Rep. Steube would really, really like to treat everyone with respect and dignity, but darn the luck! God said he had to be a jerk to them, and you can't go against God, can you? For Steube, if you're not God's best friend, He'll torture you for eternity. Me? I've got enough psychos in my life without recruiting God to fill out the side.
