I have to add that the ones with the chocolate cream inside do what they do a little better. The java ones have a slightly more subtle flavor. But they're very good. The only way to decide is to get them both!

it's forms - I have been able to get ( not this past year, now either) artisanal dark chocolate ice cream here in NYC, otherwise Been & Jerry's, cake, chocolate bars, cookies etc

as if you need another reason to eat them
take an oreo. wrap it in 1/2 a slice of bacon
bake at 375 for 40 minutes or so (or even better but them in a BBQ or a smoker at teh same temp)
