It is natural for some of our party to be opposed to big defense spending. I’d even keep the defense budget as is for now if it works to get a minimum wage increase.

Sincerely doubt it. Some adjunct point of procedure, yada, yada, yada, will make this little ruse untenable. Taxes have to be "fair", and {insert legalese here}, more status quo ante.

It's all just damage control at this point.

Now back to our regularly scheduled forays into "identity politics" (or is it "cancel culture" now?) to keep us all entertained, while our country is auctioned off to the highest bidders.

12. The thing is, the $15/hr wage doesn't even

reach that level until 2025! It's a gradual increase over the next 4 years.

Supporters of the minimum wage need to start emphasising that the raise to $15/hr is gradual and that many jobs are not far from that figure right now.
