'QAnon Shaman' Jake Angelli Accused Trump of 'Grooming' Americans to Accept Conspiracies

BY AILA SLISCO ON 2/25/21 AT 10:26 PM EST

"QAnon Shaman" Jacob Chansley claims that former President Donald Trump used social media and "public propaganda" to "effectively groom" his followers into believing conspiracy theories.

Chansley, also known by his stage name Jake Angelli, argued that he was one of millions tricked by the former president in a motion seeking to secure his pretrial release on Tuesday. Chansley is facing a potentially lengthy prison sentence for his alleged role in the deadly January 6 breach of the U.S. Capitol. Chansley insists that he believed he was "lawfully answering the call of the President" at the time that he and many others illegally entered the building.

"For years during the Trump administration, the President honed and routinely utilized his mass communication means to effectively groom millions of Americans with respect to his policies, protocols, beliefs and overwhelming fixation on all matters conspiratorial," Chansley's attorney Albert Watkins wrote in the motion.

"Months before the 2020 Presidential election, former President Trump heightened his public propaganda such as to alarm, alert, and amass his supporters and cause them to be concerned about an inevitable voter fraud being perpetrated upon the United States of America and, in turn, theft of our nation, loss of our democracy, and the seating of a falsely/fraudulently elected individual other than former President Trump," the motion continued.

Now if he'll just roll over and rat out everyone he knows that was also involved, they might be lenient on him. I'm sure they're working out a deal for him to plead guilty to lesser charges, otherwise he wouldn't be falling on his sword like this.

A Dallas man told police he mistook his mother-in-law...

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- A Dallas man told police he mistook his mother-in-law for a large raccoon when he hacked her to death with a hatchet in her garage in April, according to testimony at his preliminary hearing Wednesday.

Detective Lewis Chappel said Orvall Wyatt Loyd, 33, of Dallas, Texas, told police following the slaying of Margaret K. Wise, 49, that he awoke about 5:30 a.m. and went to search for a raccoon he believed had wandered into the garage overnight.

After being unable to find the animal, Loyd allegedly told Chappel he went back to bed and returned to the garage later in the morning with Mrs. Wise, his wife's mother.

Chappel testified Loyd said in his statement to police that he picked up the hatchet and hit Mrs. Wise once before realizing who she was. Loyd told police, however, that even after he recognized her, he hit her again.

'I snapped or something,' Loyd told police in his statement.

An autopsy revealed Mrs. Wise had been hit 17 times with the hatchet.

Loyd allegedly told police that he had been arguing with his mother-in-law with whom he was visiting for the entire week before the slaying occurred.

I don't think so!

I doubt very much whether Jake Angeli or the other Q-people have just seen the light and denounced Chump. A few are issuing statements that were obviously crafted by their lawyers, but most have been silent. These Q-people are laying low and waiting for Chump to give the next signal.

He did the crimes and now should pay the penalty. So he admits he is an idiot, should be easier to convict. Let him provide a victim statement in any prosecution of Trump.

Trump was the King of Dumbassery. He could "groom" you because you're a Dumbass. So were all of those people who stormed the Capitol on January 6. All Dumbasses.

You were too fucking stupid to realize you were following the King of Dumbassery. You think you learned something? Nope. You're still a Dumbass.
